Networks

Engineers at CodiLime are experienced architects and administrators who create state-of-the-art networking solutions. By simplifying client-side network architecture through virtualization, we allow our clients to achieve improved overall flexibility and significantly lower private network maintenance costs.

Businesses can attain these tangible benefits thanks to the use of Software-defined networking (SDN) – a solution which moves network architecture from hardware to software and provides remote and automatized configuration of network devices. With SDN, our clients’ data centers and virtual environments can adapt and transform themselves to meet current needs, quickly adjusting and adding new infrastructure to meet changing workflows.

CodiLime also provides Software-Defined Wide-Area-Networking (SDWAN) services which allow client companies to route traffic through different kinds of dedicated networks within the same abstract layer. SDWAN is particularly relevant for companies dealing with branch office setups, as well as small and medium-sized enterprises which often find it hard to cover the costs of an MPLS circuit at each of their locations and lack the in-house IT specialists to manage network complexity.

Our engineers work with SDN frameworks (OpenContrail, OpenDaylight, Ryu) and take full advantage of the OpenFlow and NETCONF protocols which provide remote access and adjustment of the forwarding plane. Using BGP protocol within SDN projects (such as Juniper Contrail) allows us to achieve highly scalable solutions that are immune to network failures.

CodiLime engineers use a wide range of Virtual Network Functions (VNF, NFV) to:

improve how our clients’ infrastructure stands up to online threats

Improve how our clients’ infrastructure stands up to online threats (Firewall: Fortigate, Palo Alto Networks, Vyatta).

increase network throughput

Increase network throughput (WAN acceleration: Riverbed, SilverPeak).

manage traffic routing

Manage traffic routing (Quagga).

CodiLime clients can also count on our experience in network hardware configurations. Our engineers use modern Juniper appliances (especially EX, MX, QFX and SRX series) in a broad range of projects of varying scale. We work with leading vendors, such as Cisco, Palo Alto, Fortinet, and have experience with these companies’ standards.

Our engineering experience with high throughput solutions (up to 100Gbit/s) ensures that our clients can handle high traffic volume. We utilize the Data Plane Development Kit (DPDK), a set of libraries and drivers, since packets within the cloud are often forwarded using x86 architecture and require proper adjustment to achieve the best performance possible.

CodiLime takes great pride in providing clients with reliable long-term solutions. We create multiple redundancies designed to avoid single points of failure to build robust fault-tolerant networks that will satisfy clients who require uninterrupted 24/7 performance.
